Only 33% of games industry workers according to the Ukie 2022 census are female, and only 10% are minority ethnic.

 

There is poor representation from working class backgrounds with 61% of employees coming from households where the primary earner worked in managerial or professional positions, which is significantly higher than the benchmark of the general population (37%).

This is simply unacceptable.

UK Indie Game Dev Co-working

Founded by myself and Edward Sibley, this free co-working space for job seekers, indie and solo devs runs every Wednesday generously hosted by Loading Bar Stoke Newington

Ukie Equality Diversity & Inclusion Committee member

I served on the committee from 2020 to 2025 until it was disbanded due to changes in the Raise the Game initiative

CV and Cover Letter workshop

I set up and ran a one day event to help job seekers in light of recent and increasing industry layoffs. Generously hosted by Four Quarters, Elephant
